01The short version

Your footage never leaves your computer. 24Cuts reads your timeline inside DaVinci Resolve on your own machine. To build a cut, it sends a description of that timeline to our server, never the video or the audio.

02What we collect

Account and licence. Your e-mail address and name as given at purchase, your licence key, the product you bought, its status, expiry date, activation limit, and the date we first saw you as a customer.

Computers. For each machine where you activate the key: an activation ID and the computer name, plus the date. This is what lets the account portal show your seats and let you release one.

Cut requests. When you run a cut, the app sends our server a map of the timeline so it can plan the edit:

the timeline name, frame rate, and start/end positions;
for each clip: its file name and file path on your computer, and its position in frames;
the musical structure detected locally by the app (beat positions, builds and drops);
your cut settings, your licence key and the activation ID of that machine.

Account portal. A six-digit sign-in code while it is valid, counters used to rate-limit sign-in attempts, and a signed session cookie once you are logged in.

03What we never collect

We do not receive, watch or store:

your video files or any frame of them;
your audio files. The music analysis runs on your computer; only the resulting timings are sent;
your rendered exports.

Note on file paths: the paths sent with a cut request are the ones your project uses, so they may contain the name of your user account or of a client folder. They are used to match clips back to the plan and are not published or shared.

04Style models to sync

Style models are trained on your computer, from timelines you edited.

To sync a model, we store it in your private area so your other seats can use it. It is not used for other customers and is not shared. You can delete it at any time.

05Why we hold this

To run the licence you bought: validate the key, count seats, let you release a computer.
To plan the cut you asked for.
To apply plan limits (hours, cameras, models) fairly.
To support you: answer e-mails, find your licence when you write in.
To keep the service safe: rate limits against abuse of the sign-in form.

We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not build profiles for marketing.

06Companies that process data for us

Creem — payments, as Merchant of Record. Holds your billing details and payment method. We never see your card data.
Resend — sends the sign-in codes and account e-mails.
Cloudflare — hosts this site and the account portal.
Google — runs the cut server and stores synced style models.

Each of them processes data on our instructions and for these purposes only.

07How long we keep it

Account and licence record: while you are a customer and afterwards while we may need it for accounting or legal reasons.
Computer list: until you release the machine, or the key ends.
Cut requests: used to produce the plan and not stored as an archive of your projects. Operational logs may hold technical details for a short period.
Purchase notifications received from our payment provider: 7 days.
Sign-in codes: 10 minutes.
Synced models: until you delete them.

08Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to support@24cuts.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Deleting your account data ends the licence, since the licence is the record. Purchase records that we must keep for accounting are the exception.

If you are in Brazil these rights come from the LGPD; in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, from the GDPR. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

09Cookies

The account portal sets one cookie, a signed session token, so you stay logged in. It is necessary for the portal to work.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your language choice is kept in your browser's local storage, on your device.

10Where data is processed

Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

11Children

24Cuts is a professional tool and is not directed at children.

12Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and change the date at the top. When the change is material we will also tell you by e-mail.
