Premiere Pro, Projects and the 24Cuts Bridge
24Cuts now runs inside Adobe Premiere Pro as well as DaVinci Resolve Studio, and every session starts from a project.
- Premiere Pro. Pick Premiere Pro when you create a project. 24Cuts reads your camera folders, syncs, reads the music and cuts, through the same six pages.
- 24Cuts Bridge. A panel the app installs for you (Window › Extensions › 24Cuts). With it open, sync and cut sequences land straight in your open project, clips sorted into bins per camera, Zoom keyframes and colour LUTs applied on the clips. The panel updates itself with the app.
- Works without the panel too. Export your sequence as Final Cut Pro XML, let 24Cuts cut, and import the XML it writes to the output folder.
- Projects. The app opens on a Projects screen: create, open, rename, delete. A project remembers the program, camera map, reference audio and ambiences, camera folders, output folder, audio preset, cut model and your last cuts. Your media never moves.
- Export from Premiere. On “Already synced”, send the open sequence to 24Cuts straight from the panel.
- Sync. When a camera has both timecode and sound, the sync is fine-tuned by the sound around the timecode.
- Zoom in Premiere. “Apply now” went from about 8 minutes to 11–13 seconds on a 2,373-clip set, about 40× faster.
- Colour in Premiere. Colour models apply as Lumetri input LUTs in seconds instead of about 6 minutes.
- Cut names. The name of each cut tells the two modes apart.
- Languages. The Premiere flow is in all 8 languages.
- Audio preset. The preset saved in a project was not being applied to the analysis.
- Audio tracks in Premiere cuts. A cut keeps only the master audio active, as in Resolve; the camera and ambience tracks come in muted.
- Import warnings in Premiere. The Translation Report Premiere showed when importing a cut is gone: 86 warnings on a real set, now 0.
